Dr Barbara Keck, DN – Doctor of Naprapathy
Dr. Keck believes that everyone has the ability to heal themselves from within by connecting to their natural healing abilities. She assists patients on their healing path with gentle guidance, manual manipulation of soft tissue to align the body, nutritional counseling, and comprehensive testing to help them meet their health goals. Her patients realize improved neuro-musculo-skeletal conditions, pain reduction, nutritional benefits, and overall improved physical health.
Doctor Keck is a licensed and board certified Naprapath and Nutritional Counselor. She received her doctoral degree from the National College of Naprapathic Medicine in 2003. As a student she received the Basic Science award for achievement of academic excellence, and as an intern she received the Special Clinical Award for outstanding clinical attainment. Dr. Keck has been a contributor to the Journal of the American Naprapathic Association in addition to volunteering her time and energies to a number of charities for leukemia and cancer. She belongs to the American Naprapathic Association and annually teaches the Rose Technique at intern seminars for the National College of Naprapathic Medicine.
Mabel earned her MD degree as a Surgeon and Physician in Colombia, South America in 1997. Her passion always has been to provide the best possible care for her patients, in a holistic way. In Colombia, she had the opportunity to treat different conditions effectively using Western Medicine, and was enthused when presented with the opportunity to study Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her unique approach to healing allows her to successfully treat a wide variety of health issues naturally.
Mabel utilizes TCM and Five elements theory as well Dr. Tan Balance Method in order to find the best treatment approach for her patients.
Mimi McClelland, LMT – Master Massage Therapist
Mimi graduated with honors and as valedictorian from Cortiva Institute. She has an incredible passion for helping people in pain and an amazing aptitude for healing. We believe that what makes her so such a special Massage Therapist is her ability to listen to her clients and understand not only what they need but also what they want.
Her specialties include Deep Tissue, Sports, and Clinical massage. She is trained in Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and Pregnancy massage. She is also certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, shoulder dysfunction, hip dysfunction, and geriatric massage.
Jim Keck, MBA – Business Manager and Health Education
Jim combines a passion for natural health and wellness with his knowledge of business. He is committed to helping improve the health of people, businesses, and communities, naturally.
In addition to his business duties, he heads our Wellness Intensive Program for businesses, and shares his message of wellness by speaking at health fairs, seminars, and local events.
Gypsy – Certified Therapy Dog in Training
Gypsy greets everyone that walks into Kuma health and Wellness with a smile and a wag. She is very well behaved and never bothers anyone, but she is always willing to share her canine energy with those who are in need.
Kuma – Certified Therapy Dog Emeritus
Kuma means Bear in Japanese and when Kuma was a puppy, she looked like a very chubby, contented and cute as a button bear. She was very wise, always Zen, and a born therapy dog. She died in 2012 at the age of 14 ½, and she will always be remembered for her absolute devotion to Kuma Health and our patients.
